We woke up at about 7 am, and got up slowly. The anchorage was very calm. Eventually we got coffee, then had breakfast on deck, and noticed our neighbors pulling their anchor up. We used Jesus Calling for our devotions this morning.
We did not see exactly when they left, but by 9 am or so are neighbors were gone. We saw two pangas come in and hang out for a bit, it looked like one of them was near shore working on clams. By about 10, we got the kayak down and went ashore. We went along the edge of the water and checked out the rocks. Once we got to the low point between this bay and the bigger one, we pulled the kayak out of the water and put on our boots. We hiked up and around the point to the palapa we saw on the point. This is the only structure in this bay. There appears to be a wrecked boat on the south side, but now that everyone has left, it is just us again. We will see if we get anymore company in the next day or two. The water appears to be a bit too dirty to swim in. Probably because there is no circulation, it is just a back water. The only change of the water is due to the tide, which last night was pretty big, at least 8 feet, based on Navionics tide program.
We had lunch at the palapa, and enjoyed the peace and quiet for a bit. Then hiked back along the waters edge to the kayak and then back to the boat by 1 pm. We figured out that several of the zippers on the backpack are stuck (probably from the salt air). Renee’ sprayed them with WD-40 and got them working again, but they need zipper lube, so I will do that next.
We do have room for guests, if anyone is interested in visiting and spending a week or so with us, drop us a line and we will coordinate. What you have to do/have is you need a sport and will need to be able to get to where we are when you are going to be down. When we know what time frame you are thinking about we can let you know where we expect to be so that you can make your travel arrangements.
