February 29, 2024 Thursday San Fransisquito to Punta Trinidad

(posted 03/05/24)

Up at 5:30, underway by 7:30. Motored all day, absolutely no wind.

We anchored in about 15 feet of water half a mile off shore. Then rest time, we got here about 2:30. The plan was for me to BBQ sausages. But about 4 pm 4 guys (Mexican’s) came up in a Panga. They wanted water. These are the first people we have seen up close or talked to since we left Puerto Peñasco, 220 miles and 7 days.

While I dealt with the water Reneé got them some Apple Beer bread. They offered us 2 lobsters, so we watched a YouTube on how to prepare and BBQ them, the sausage will wait!!

February 28, 2024 Wednesday  Puerto Don Juan to San Fransisquito.

We got up at 5:30 am but didn’t get underway until 7:30.  Cereal and apple beer bread for breakfast then our Bible reading.

Neil spoke with the Raymarine guy but cell service just not consistent.  They’ve scheduled a meeting on the boat for this next Saturday in Santa Rosalia.

This is what we see.
Just us

February 27, 2024 Tuesday  Puerto Don Juan Our Anniversary

(posted 03/05/24)

We woke up to an anchor alarm (at 0515!) and a bunch of wind. We were dragging (maybe?) so, we reset the anchor and that was about it.

Neil gave me a beautiful card!  He thought ahead and purchased it in the states.  I, Reneé, failed.  I thought ahead for Valentine’s Day but not our anniversary.  Oh well, I had a gift for Him instead of a card😘.

We played Quirkle in the afternoon.  I made a loaf of sourdough bread.

February 25, 2024 Sunday  Puerto Don Juan

(posted 03/05/24)

Very quiet day.  The other boat in the bay left at 8:00 am.  We watched a sermon from NorthCoast Church.  Pastor Larry taught on 1 John, “Who are you going to believe?”

Reneé made apple beer bread to go with the Sunday oatmeal.  Later in the day she put two hooks in the water with little smokies on them but caught nothing.

The temperature just didn’t get warm enough to get us out on the water in a kayak or paddle board. The water is no doubt cold.

Neil waited all day for a call from the Raymarine Rep.  no call came.

We had chicken fajitas for dinner.

We watched LA Confidential – long movie and a bit violent.

Good morning!!
