02/04/26 Mazatlan, Mexico – Wednesday

Up at 6:30, the net at 8 am. Clean up and pack.
I ate my last tamale for lunch. I emptied the freezer and fridge. For the last time.
The safety meeting was a birthday/going away party. I am the only one flying, everyone else is taking their boat.

02/02/26 Mazatlan, Mexico – Monday

Up at 6:30, breakfast and the net. I have help coming at 9 am to put the canopy up. I have some phone calls to make and a trip to the bank.
Today is Constitution day (official holiday in Mexico), actual day is 2/5. But they celebrate on the first Monday in February. So, places are closed.
Good news, the canopy is up. The really bad news….my phone went swimming. At least I believe it did. I have an iPhone 16 pro max. Which is rated for 30 minutes in 6 meters of water. It’s in a Ghostek case also rated for 30 minutes in 6 meters of water. The diver got here within a half hour of when I figured out it must’ve gone in. Which is about an hour or so total before he was able to dive in. He is looking now.
This will be a major inconvenience, I can do everything but make a call AS LONG AS I HAVE WiFi, like right now on the boat with Starlink. Well, I have my phone back. So far it looks ok. I have called apple support they said minimize the use of the phone for “a while”.
At this point (6:45 pm local time) my phone is still working fine. But tomorrow is another day.

We have a spinnaker, they look fantastic when flown, but wow! are they a pain!!

02/01/26 Mazatlan, Mexico – Sunday

Up at 6 again. Breakfast then listen to the service at Gracepoint in Savannah. Then nothing until lunch. I will organize the laundry. (Tomorrow is a holiday, so I will take a load in on Tuesday). Then the last laundry trip on Wednesday. Tomorrow I have a helper coming to put up the canopy. I went to the safety meeting, then back for dinner and bed.

No pictures today.

1/31/26 Mazatlan, Mexico – Saturday

Up at 6 am, just can’t sleep.
Breakfast, then I pulled out the sheets that I had thrown in the laundry (they had gotten wet, while still folded up). I realized that when I take them to the laundry, the bill will be based on weight. I hung them up inside the boat to dry out.
I got the battery maintainer hooked up to the generator start battery, and updated the blog. San Carlos marina and storage had an issue with the trailer for getting the boats out and back in.

I got these pictures in a thread from San Carlos, the travel lift had some issues. Thankfuly my boat is not affected!
