1/9/26 San Carlos, Marina Seca – Friday

Breakfast at the hotel and I walked to the boat. Alejandro and a coworker showed up to work on the projects. We also have a fan in the salon that doesn’t work. I thought it was a bad fan, so I brought one with me. NOPE! Wiring issue, so I have a small 12 volt DC two speed fan that I don’t need. ($83). I even had it verified by an “electrician” that it was the fan that was bad. Oh well. I will probably put the new one in and stow the old one in the spare parts. Just because it would be a pain to take it back to the states, the new one has a longer wire that will make it easier to install.

Tonight there is a bible study to attend.

So, there’s a change of plans. Instead of taking the boat to Puerto Vallarta, we will take it to Mazatlan. Slip rental in La Cruz (the only one that has an opening) is $1,810/month. Mazatlan is $972/month.

After the bible study, we went out to dinner. Joe & Vanessa and I.

This shows why the mast had to come out. There are two plates at the base of the mast, the one on the left is broken, the one on the right is the new one.
