April 30th, 2025 Wednesday (Santa Rosalia to Lalo Cove, San Carlos)

Published 05/06/2025
Up at 3:30, underway by 4 am. Breakfast and bible reading underway. Virtually no wind all the way across, highest was about 7 knots. Very quiet trip. We only saw a couple of fishing boats and one sailboat in the first 65 miles. We will see what we see as we finish the 75 miles. Well we didn’t see another boat until we were about 5 miles from the end of our journey.
We wanted to anchor in Martini Cove, but it’s very small and there was a couple of boats there already. Oh well, we headed back a few miles to where we ended up (see the pictures). While I was working on getting the anchor ready, my hat got caught in the wind and flipped into the water. We were able to get one more man overboard drill in! We were successful and the hat is drying out now.
We anchored in Lalo Cove a couple of miles from the marina.
It was a very quiet day.
