Up at 6:30 or so. Breakfast, bible reading a trip to the store and preparing to get underway tomorrow.
Renee’ told the office we were done with shore power and I got us unplugged, that way we can pay our bill today. Shore power off, bilge rinsed, hose and cords put away. Garbage off the boat. Pulled pork on the stove for dinner and future meals. We got showers before turning off the power, so we would have hot water to wash the dishes. We have to have AC power (either shore power or run the generator) or run the engine to heat the hot water tank. Our friends that have been here for the last week mostly have left for points north or south, but another boat friend arrived this afternoon, SV Soulmate with Lisa and Patrick. We will have a beer with them at the micro brewery and afterwards come back to the boat and turn in early. Tomorrow we get underway by 4 am, as it is abut 75 miles across. Roughly 12 hours, and we like to have a little extra time in case of issues.
We will not have much wind, so it will be a motor trip, and no moon light as it comes up after the sun and we get there before sunset. The marina is very well lit up at night, so getting out should not be a problem.
