Up in time for breakfast and off to the boatyard to watch the work.
We had breakfast at a convenient restaurant down the street from our hotel. This was the second time Reneé had been there, she was giving them a second chance. They short changed her change when she paid the bill, they did it again this morning. Reneé called them on it, and we won’t be back.
I got to the boat about 9 am, talked to Peter Vargas on the way in, he coordinates the work that gets done. He thinks he might be done. I said I would check my list and text him. I called Peter Karsten, he is the electronics dude in the area. This was to get the piece of seatalk cable and connector I need to get the speed probe to work. I also called Richard about the wood work job that needs attention.
It is now 2:30, the hatch hinges have been repaired, the cable has been installed, the boat is put back together, the electrician will work on our bonding issue sometime next week, we will have to come into the marina for a day. I still have no commitment for the carpenter.
I am going to stop into the office here in the yard on my way out today and talk about getting out tomorrow.
We’re scheduled for 12:30. I got the bill for the work that was done, not overly expensive, and the work was done quickly, which saved a day in the yard. Which is a different bill.
Then back to the hotel, a shower and dinner. This time we went to the top floor of our hotel and listened to a singer at a keyboard.
We turned in early, both of us coughing. We have a cold, that’s taking a long time to get rid of.
