Yelapa, April 17, Saturday

We woke up after another rolly night. It is kinda cool this morning. Unlike most of the time we have been this far south. We listened to the net, had breakfast and got it together and went ashore.

To go ashore we called Edgar on channel 10 on the VHF radio and waited for him to come get us. After he picked us up, we went to another boat, S/V Toccata and Marilyn and Sherry joined us, and as it turned out they too were planning to do the hike to the waterfall, so when we got ashore we set out for the waterfall. Pictures below, it was a fairly long hike and took us until around 12:30 or 1 pm to get back to town for lunch. After lunch Reneé and I went back to the boat and the two ladies hiked to the other water fall and checked out the town. We took naps, and then ran the generator for an hour or so while we floated behind the boat. When we had hot water, we took showers and got dressed for dinner at the gathering of cruisers at the Yacht Club. “The Yelapa Yatch Club” (Yes, that is how they spell it here. Dinner was very good, and the entertainment was provided by the violinist that we have heard before here.  Finally about 9:30 or so, we called it a night and went back to the dock and called Edgar for a ride. This time there was about 11 of us on board the water taxi back to the boats.

Another rolly night.
