We woke up a bit earlier than normal, around 6:30. We got up and had breakfast, did our devotions, and planned our day. Even though we were up, it still took us until 9 before we were walking away from the boat. We went to the office to arrange staying until Monday, and then went into town.
First stop was the mining museum, then a stop in the park for me to call and talk to my uncle, for about an hour, great conversation. Then Renee’ went to the store and I got there eventually. After we had all the groceries we got a taxi back to the marina (50 pesos). We talked to the crew on Capella, and toured their boat an Island Packet 420. While we were there we saw Karma come in and then we saw Jordan on Kirah come in, and finally one more boat. Mike is the guy on the last boat.
We have plans today for the crew’s of Karma and Capella to come over for apps this afternoon. Then Chinese diner in town for at least some of us.
After lunch we got the laundry done and Renee’ straightened up the boat. It is always pretty good, but she still cleans and it is nice.
We had guests that arrived at about 4:30 or so, we chatted and heard about the Sail Alaska trip from Colin & Claudia on S/V Capella III, they had 10 weeks of cruising there and adventures from Reinna & Clint on S/V Karma, we had appetizers and drinks then when it seemed everyone was ready to head back to their respective boats, Colin and Claudia were going out to eat (their refrigeration system is not working) we all decided to go and get Chinese food, except both Chinese restaurants in the city were closed, so we went and got Pizza, we finally got back to the boat at about 9:30. This was a great day!
We do have room for guests, if anyone is interested in visiting and spending a week or so with us, drop us a line and we will coordinate.
