March 14, 2024 Thursday Playa el Burro in Bahia Conceptión

Brian was back at 0800 to get a measurement for the console above the gangway. Then we kayaked to shore and did some hiking. The prices here for lunch are higher than at Santispac, the hike was more rock climbing than a hike, so probably won’t be back for that either. The kayaking was good.
We have finally figured out what is going on with the holding tank, the vent is plugged at the vent overboard. I have ordered a part, (less than $20) and it will be in Carlsbad when we get there, in the meantime it stinks.

Up in time for the news, then Brian came over to discuss details about the new instruments.
He was gone and we were underway by 10am. We headed out to dump the holding tank, after which we came back in and anchored at Playa el Burro by 3 pm.
We plan to be here two nights, then go to Punta Chivato.

Well, I just noticed that I spelled the name of the bay wrong, it should be Conceptión. Not Conception or Conceptioń.
We are running a load of laundry, then after lunch will go out for a bit with the kayak. This means we are running the generator now.

I gave Jim and Pat a ride to the beach so they could get to Mulegé for some shopping. Then I worked on the blog.
Reneé cleaned the boat, then worked on learning how to use the GO PRO.
Around 10:30 I picked them up at the beach. After dropping them off at their boat I went back to our boat, we had lunch and I finished the blog.
Reneé used the paddle board to get over to see Pat, who gave her some lessons on how to use the GO PRO. I wen5 over in the dinghy to get the stuff that they bought for us, tomatoes, chips and a pineapple.
Just before dinner time Brian showed up with some YELLOW TAIL fillets, guess what we had for dinner!

Just another sunset

March 10, 2024 Sunday Playa Santispac in Bahia Conceptión

(posted 03/11/24)
Up and about in time for Reneé to watch the news and ashore by 12:30 for lunch with Jim and Pat. After lunch we stopped by SV Okisollo and got a tour of the bigger boat, it is about 6.5 feet longer with a very similar layout, they have an extra cabin on the stbd side which is an office/laundry room/shop. Their aft lazarette is huge as well.
