Up at 6:30, It was pretty rolly overnight, so not great sleep, we were visited by whales around 1:30 breeching and blowing near us, almost long enough for me to get up and see what was going on. Breakfast and the net, we are supposed to go to Paradise village today.
We got underway by about 9 am, out more than 3 miles and dumped the holding tank, then into Paradise Village. We had lunch, then washed the boat. Took a break and made a grocery run. We have been working on finding a place to store some of our stuff for the week we will have guests. We thought we had it worked out with our friends Bob and Iris Ranger from church. They have a house in Bucerias, but a week or so ago they got a ticket and their license plate was taken. So no vehicle to move our stuff to their house. We have talked to many other boaters and friends here about storing the stuff. Part of the problem is we are in Paradise Village now, and at the end of the week (right before we fly we will be in La Cruz these two marinas are about 10 miles apart, and no one has a car. The taxis are typically very small, and the stuff we are storing is large bags (a spinnaker, the canopy and toe rail covers, a very large suitcase, and a dehumidifier). We asked our friends Norm and Janice (from Canada) who have a boat and a truck to help and will be moving our stuff to Bob and Iris’s with a hope that they will get their license plate back by next week to help move the stuff back.
We went out to dinner with Norm and Janice, the fajitas were excellent, and Reneé had clam chowder (she said it tasted pretty good) unfortunately probably bad clams as she threw it up in the middle of the night.
