March 15, 2024 Friday Playa el Burro in Bahia Conceptión

(posted 03/26/24)
It was a very rough night, the wind came up about midnight, and was more than the prediction. So, I did not get much sleep. We were going to move to Punta Chivato today, but it will have a bunch of wind overnight as well. So, we are thinking about going to Santispac for the night then back to Santa Rosalia for a week at the dock.
I took a nap after writing this, and when I woke up, we checked the weather again, and decided to go to Punta Chivato. There was some wind, but it wasn’t horrible before midnight, then no wind, no waves, it was very quiet. We got some good sleep!

We left playa El Burro heading for Chivato. We motored the whole way. Once we were 3 mi off shore Neil spent a bit of time emptying, refilling, emptying, the holding tank. We are dealing with a bad smell. Neil discovered the problem- plugged vent. Part ordered – will get fixed when we return from Carlsbad. Chivato was windy initially but quieted for the night. We anchored in 13’ of water just south of Punta Santa Inez.

That is a 30 peso tamale (about 17 pesos to the dollar)
Another great view
