June 13 – 23, 2020 Puerto Peñasco; on the hard last day in Puerto Peñasco

We have been getting up with the sun, which means no latter than about 6:30 or so. We wander down from the upstairs bedroom and I start the coffee, then we read or do Facebook for awhile. Eventually we have breakfast and do our devotions. Some days we have gone to doctors appointments, or the Chiropractor for me. We usually have gotten to the boat for at least part of the day.

We found a place and got haircuts, and have had a chance to walk around town for a bit. This is a pretty nice place, but if you get into the area where it is sort of like the US the restaurants are expensive, not like we have been used to further south.

We finished getting the boat ready for us to not be here for 6 months or so yesterday. Today they shrink wrapped the boat, and we gave away the last of the extra food that we had. It has been a pretty big job getting rid of stuff that should not be left on the boat in the heat for the summer.

In any case, I don’t plan to continue writing in this blog for the summer, and will start again when we get back to the boat in the fall.

We do have room for guests, if anyone is interested in visiting and spending a week or so with us, drop us a line and we will coordinate. What you have to do/have is you need a passport and will need to be able to get to where we are when you are going to be down. When we know what time frame you are thinking about we can let you know where we expect to be so that you can make your travel arrangements.

This is what it looks like in shrink wrap. Side view
From the front
Shrink wrap. The wrap keeps the dust and things off the boat. It does not cover the solar panels, so they keep the batteries charged. The dinghy did not get inside the wrap, but it has a cover on it. We are parked next to a big boat that blocks the afternoon sun which helps to keep the temperature down some as does the white of the shrink wrap.
