Up at 7, breakfast and bible reading before the net, after that we put up the mainsail, which is the last of the rigging stuff on deck. Our to do list is getting much shorter.
Showers are next then up to the mall at noon to join the other cruisers for a trip into Puerto Vallarta for tacos and tequila tasting.
We rode the bus downtown, then walked a few blocks to get to the fish toco stand that Val and Larry had recommended. They lived in “The Zona Romantica” for a few years. From there we walked down Isla Cuela to Oscar’s for the tequila tasting. We had a very good time, and I drank way too much as did Reneé. From there apparently we walked to Los Muertos brewery, at least that is where some of the pictures were taken. Finally after a cab ride back on the boat and bed.

Up at 7ish, breakfast the net and bible reading. This morning we will defrost the fridge, the only thing on the schedule is perhaps get the sails up, and a load of laundry.
So, by 4 ish, the load of laundry has been folded, we made it to aqua aerobics, the stay sail and Jib are up, tomorrow morning we will do the main sail. Reneé baked a load of very tasty bread, and we are going to the pool
Up at 7 am a couple of loads of laundry, breakfast, bible reading done, defrosted the freezer and cleaned the strainer for the air conditioning. John Pounder was here and hooked up the temperature switch for the fan for the solar charge controllers. He did not have the wire for the stereo speakers, so that project is on hold. Reneé was trying to figure out how to get her fishing poles mounted under the new solar panels, everything was going well, until she dropped her pole into the water. She tried with a boat hook to see if she could snag it, but was unsuccessful. John was leaving at that point and suggested using a treble hook with a weight to drag across the area and see if she could get it that way. About 15 minutes later she was successful!
We have permission from a friend who has a boat here, on B dock who won’t be on their boat during the month of November and has given permission for us to store 3 bags of stuff on their boat, our spinnaker, canopy and teak covers. It took both of us and a dock cart and our wagon to move these to the other boat, but that got done today as well. On the way back Reneé stopped at the store.
So, today we have accomplished quite a bit, 3 loads of laundry, defrosted the freezer, filing the water tank, temperature control installed on solar panel controllers, “stuff” put away, lists updated, and stuff done!
Tonight is the pot luck, Robert has made spaghetti with home made sauce, Reneé is making a salad and cookies
Again, there were about 20-30 of us there. Then back to the boat, showers and a card game then bed.
Up at 7, Breakfast the net and off to the Bible study. Then lunch at Brenda’s and the pool party and a quick trip back to the boat. Dinner and off to game night. It is a busy life being retired on a boat!
There was about 20 of us for the Bible study, which was the third in a series presented by the YWAM group. Then off ot the pool party with about 15 people, the guys played pool and the ladies swam.
Later we went to game night with the cruisers, there were 5 of us playing Mexican train then Dave and Michele arrived late which gave us 7. We only broke one chair. These chairs are not the most sturdy chairs, we have broken 3 or 5 of them this summer. We of course shared tequila and snacks. We finally got back to the boat, showers and bed at midnight.
Up at 7 am, breakfast and the net. Reneé ran a load of clothes then will head to Refuge of Hope. I am going to take one of our propane tanks in for a refill, and John Pounder is due at 10 to work on our radio and some other stuff. XM Radio fixed! John will be back on Thursday to work on speaker wiring.
Happy hour at the pool, then back to the boat for dinner and putting up the sails. Game night will be tomorrow night.
